Calls takes top honors at NWTF Convention
More
than 300 decorative and working turkey calls were entered
into the National Wild Turkey Federation Grand National
Call Making Contest during the NWTF Convention and Sport
Show in Charlotte, N.C., February 22-24, 2002. Only a
select few earned top honors. This
year's competition was fierce with unique calls in all
shapes, colors, and sizes competing for the treasured
Best of Show award. Calls from across the nation adorned
the Charlotte Convention Center exhibit hall floor with
22,000 visitors throughout the weekend on hand to see
the interesting creations. In
all, there were 178 entries and 72 call makers in the
working call competition.
All
calls were judged by authorities that are very highly
recognized individuals in the call industry and have won
or been affiliated with the highest honors of calling
in the industry. The calls were tried and judged in these
